Audiology of Scottsdale is a private hearing center owned and operated by Dr. Cathy Kurth alongside Lisa Elenes, H.I.S. Our mission is to provide comprehensive audiological care to all looking to improve their hearing and to give them educational resources so they can take charge of their hearing health. Hearing is necessary for overall health, and we want to help you achieve the best hearing possible.
Dr. Kurth owned various audiology practices, where she met and worked alongside Lisa in 2018 prior to retirement in 2022. She missed helping people with their hearing so much that she decided to open Audiology of Scottsdale and invited Lisa to join her and continue their love of helping people hear better!

Our hearing center is owned by Audiologist Dr. Cathy Kurth, who has been helping people with their hearing health for more than 35 years in Scottsdale. We pride ourselves on being flexible for our patients by offering after-hour services and getting you in as soon as possible for appointments.
Audiology of Scottsdale offers a wide range of services to help you experience the best hearing possible. From individualized treatment plans to new hearing technology, we will work with you to come up with a custom solution to manage hearing loss. As a full audiology clinic, we also offer services such as earwax removal and custom hearing protection. No matter what your hearing needs are, our team can help you.
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
When you visit our hearing clinic for the first time, your appointment will be separated into four parts.
Conversation
We always begin with a conversation to get to know you and what your needs are. We will ask you some questions about your hearing, family history, and medical history.
Ear Exam
We will look inside your ears with an otoscope to assess your ear canal and eardrum. Once we’ve determined the inside of your ears are healthy and free of earwax, then we can begin the testing.
Hearing Test
You will sit inside a sound booth with a pair of headphones on and listen to a series of sounds at various frequencies. We will also assess how well you can hear words in quiet and in noise.
Recommendations
We will go over the results of your hearing test which are recorded on your audiogram. If you would be a good candidate for hearing aids, we will discuss your options.
Preferred Provider of the NFL Players Association
Audiology of Scottsdale is a preferred hearing care provider for the NFL Players Association’s Professional Athletes Foundation. Through this partnership, the PAF aims to bring better hearing to former professional athletes and their fans across the nation. Together, we spread awareness, help players in need of hearing care, and collect data on the connection between hearing loss and professional football.
